Motivation
There are, of course, many web sites on the Internet having to do with artificial intelligence (AI). Many of them contain massive amounts of information. The goal of this web site is not necessarily to educate on artificial intelligence itself, but rather on the research thereof. Being (mostly) undergraduate students ourselves, the “founding members” of AI Link are hardly qualified to give authoritative opinions on such a complex and wide-ranging topic, or even any related subtopic. In fact, that is exactly what led us to create this web site – the desire to learn more and become involved.
Our intended audience is other prospective graduate students who would like to pursue their research interests in AI-related fields. It is not necessary that the audience, or even the contributing members be computer science students, or tied to any specific discipline. It is widely recognized that advances in AI come from all fields: biology, psychology, engineering, physics, mathematics – to name but a few. All that is required is the desire to make the world a better place through automation.

Request for Articles
One of the key concepts for this web site is involvement of its target audience. We hope to maintain the site indefinitely (or to pass such maintenance on to other interested parties). So if you, the reader, find yourself using the information contained on this site, and scouring the Internet for more information regarding AI research, we ask that you submit your findings in the form of a short article with references. Interviews with researchers and faculty are highly encouraged, especially those conducted from the perspective of, “How can I become involved in your research?”
